Welcome! SEE OUR LIBERTY PRESENTATION Here you are on the admissions page wondering how you or your child might fit into our school. Yes, our school is different -- it's not like most boarding schools, and not like most public schools. That's because Liberty School is tailored to meet the needs of creative, independent, self-motivated students who like challenges and think outside the box. To receive an informational packet, click here. We also invite you to come visit for a day to sit in on classes, check out the atmosphere of the school, and meet with the director to discuss your unique needs and goals. To schedule a visit, please phone the school. When you become familiar enough with our school to apply (preferably after an all-day visit), drop off or mail in your application. In addition to the application form you are asked to write an essay and respond to several questions. Once we have all these materials, you will be phoned to schedule an interview with the Admissions Committee, consisting of the director, a teacher, and several students. Acceptance is provisional pending an admissions review after two months, at which point permanent status is decided. While admissions decisions tend to be generous, expectations of student performance are high. In other words, Liberty School is easy to get into but hard to stay in.
